Programs for Children

Sunday Church School

Sunday Church School meets every week from the Sunday after Labor Day to the Sunday preceding Memorial Day. Classes are available for 3-year-olds through sixth grade. Every class has two teachers and a Confirmation student helper.

First Communion Instruction

At BLLC, children between first and sixth grade begin receiving communion as soon as they, their parents, and the church are ready.

Each fall, Beaver Lake offers children an opportunity to learn about the Lord's Supper. Our pastor offers a three- or four-session workshop for parents (or grandparents or baptismal sponsors) and children that includes the mixing and baking of the Communion bread in one of the sessions.

Vacation Bible School

Every summer BLLC stages a week-long Vacation Bible School. Classes are available for 3-year-olds through sixth grade. Last summer, we held an inter-generational Habitat for Humanity Bible School and the year before that, we became "VeggieTown." Look for an announcement about VBS for this summer.

The annual Thursday evening Bible School cookout has become a community event.
