Programs for Youth

Confirmation Classes

Confirmation at BLLC is a three-year faith exploration that normally begins in the seventh grade. First-year students meet on Sunday morning during the Education Hour. Second- and third-year students meet for study Wednesday evenings with one of the pastors. In the second and third years, students participate in church and community service projects.

Many Confirmation students help teach Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.

Summer Mission Trip

Each summer, our youth participate in our annual YouthWorks mission trip. Previous years have found us doing ministry in the south downtown area of Denver, Branchland, West Virginia, Benton Harbor, Michigan, and the Rosebud Rosebud Indian Reservation in western South Dakota!

The mission trips are open to any person who has completed eighth grade or higher.

Sunday Youth Group

Every other Sunday evening, youth gather at church for an informal time of jamming, gaming and thinking. Tacos or pizza are always part of the evening. Youth from sixth grade on up are welcome to participate.

Peer Team & Care Team Ministries

Opportunities exist for youth to do real ministry within their peer groups or in the church or community at large.

Peer team ministry is for post-Confirmation youth and involves significant training.

Care Team Ministry is supervised and open to a wider range of ages. Contact the Youth Guide for more information on either program.

Adventure Club

Ages 14–20. Come participate in seasonal group activities with teens from other area churches, such as a haunted cruise, winter tubing/skiing, camping, a night on the town.
